We’re seeking a compassionate and reliable Support Worker to assist a young adult with autism in his own home. The role involves supporting him to live independently and enjoy a fulfilling life, both at home and in the community. About the Role:
The contract is for 21.75 hours (day) a week and 8 hours (sleep)
The rota is as follows
Wk1:
Sunday 8am-10pm (sleep 10pm – 8am)
Wk2:
Sunday 8am-10pm (sleep 10pm – 8am)
Wk3:
Thursday 8am – 5pm
Saturday 8am – 10pm (sleep 10pm-8am)
Wk4:
Monday 8am – 10pm
Friday 8am – 10pm (sleep 10pm-8am)
Permanent position —21.75 daytime hours and 1 x 8 hour sleepover, also available hours to cover holidays and sickness
Day rate: £15.65/hour; sleep-in allowance: £69.76 per night
Duties include personal support, meal preparation, light domestic tasks, and engaging in leisure activities such as cycling, outings, and games.
Requirements:
Full UK driving licence (essential)
Experience supporting people with autism or learning disabilities (preferred)
Comfortable working in a smoke-free environment
Reliable, patient, and able to work positively as part of a small team
