A Relief Support Assistant is required to join a team of Personal Assistants/Support Workers who support a 33-year-old autistic gentleman to become more independent in life skills and to get out into the community. The job is on a ad-hoc basis and to cover holidays and sickness of other members of staff.
The gentleman requires support with all aspects of personal care, getting dressed, meal preparation and medication management . He has epilepsy and is on the autistic spectrum. He enjoys going to the cinema, bowling, socialising and days out. He loves going on adventurous mini breaks and holidays which require his support team.
The hours to be covered are to include:
8.00 am to 17.00 2:1 support
Evening and night shifts
Holiday/Respite cover
The rate of pay is £15.00 per hour (£22.50 bank holiday rate)
A DBS is required for this position
