A Personal Care Assistant is required to care for a gentleman who has advanced MS which impacts his mobility, speech, understanding and behaviours for a minimum of 16 hours per week.
There is a rota in place with alternate week/weekend hours for all staff members which means each PA get a fair weekly hours .
Week 1
Monday: Off
Tuesday: 9am – 1pm (1 carer)
Wednesday: 9am – 10am (1 carer)
Thursday: 9am – 2pm (1 carer)
Friday: 9am – 10.30am (1carer) & 9pm – 10pm (2 carers)
Saturday: 9am – 10am (2 carers) & 9pm – 10pm (2 carers)
Sunday: 9am – 10am (1 carer) & 9pm – 10pm (2 carers)
Week 2:
Monday off
Tuesday: 9am – 10am (1 carer)
Wednesday: 9am – 10am (1 carer)
Thursday: 9am – 2pm (1 carer)
Friday: 9am – 10.30am ( 1 carer) & 9pm – 10pm (2 carers)
Saturday: 9am – 10am (1 carer) & 9pm – 10 pm ( 1 carer)
Sunday: Off
The rate of pay is £13.79 per hour
It would be an advantage if the PA has experience using a hoist, however training will be given.
There are 2 small friendly dogs in the home so the PA must like dogs.
A DBS is required for this position.
