Personal Companion
A bubbly, sociable, caring and energetic companion is required to support an intelligent young adult who has a right-sided below knee amputation.
Location: Harrogate
Key responsibilities:
· To provide transport to medical appointments (applicants must hold a valid driving licence).
· To support with outdoor activities.
· To assist with cooking, baking, and shopping.
· To collect the client from work and take to any relevant appointment or enjoy social time together.
Requirements:
· Fluent English-speaking female applicants only.
· Must be able to drive and own a car which can comfortably accommodate a wheelchair.
· Must be reasonably fit and able to lift a wheelchair in and out of the car.
· To collect the client from work and take to any necessary appointments.
· Non-smoker/vaper.
Hours:
· 12 hours each week.
· 1.00pm to 5.00pm Monday, Wednesday and Friday (these could be altered to suit a suitable applicants’ circumstances.
· Flexible hours over school holidays
· Occasional weekend trips away.
Pay Rate:
· £15.65 per hour
· 45 p per mile travel expenses
