A Companion/Support Assistant is required for 16 hours per week to transport a 13 year old boy to various activities. He has a wheelchair adapted van to take him, therefore it is essential that the Support Assistant is a competent driver (over the age of 21 due to vehicle insurance) has a Full Clean UK driving licence and is able to drive a van.
The young boy has cerebral palsy, anxiety, autism and mild learning difficulties, he has a great sense of humour and requires a companion/support with similar humour, who is enthusiastic and willing to engage in the boys enhancement of life experiences.
The 16 hours are completely flexible we can work round you. Duties will include driving him/supporting him to various activities which may include going to the park, town/shopping, dropping off and picking up from respite care.
The rate of pay is £13.00 per hour, however, this can be enhanced depending on experience.
A DBS is required for this position.
