A dedicated Personal Assistant is required to support a 4 year old boy who has Autism and Global Development Delay. He is non-verbal but is able a to let you know his needs.
He is mobile and likes being outdoors, visiting parks and spending time on the swings and slides. He doesn’t have any sense of danger so needs close supervision.
In this role, during term time you will be helping mum twice a week with wraparound care, looking after him at home before and after school. No school run is required.
During school holidays, cover is required an average 3 days a week (24 flexible hours).
Duties include: assisting with personal care ie: changing nappies, dressing/undressing, giving him simple meals at breakfast & dinner. He has a gastrostomy tube which is used to give him milk and medication.

Hours per week:
Term time: 8 hours per week over two days – typically Tuesdays and Thursdays (term time) – start time approx; 7am – 8.30am and 3.30pm – 6pm (tbc)
Holiday time: average 24 hours per week ie: 3 full days across Tues – Thurs (School holidays)
Please note: the hours are flexible and are based on the mothers work schedule and are not set every week (depending on cover required week to week)
Rate of pay is £17.00 per hour
UK driving licence and access to own vehicle is desirable but not essential.
