Two Support Workers are required for 30 hours each per week, to support a disabled gentleman with epilepsy who requires 24/7 care. The hours will include both day and night time support, weekends and bank holidays. The hours can be spilt, with one person doing nights and the other days, or can be on an agreed rota basis.
The Gentleman lives in Bedale and needs support and assistance accessing community activities such as outdoor activities, concerts, theatre etc. Duties further include personal/health care needs, domestic assistance and encouragement to take part in activities within the community. The gentleman also goes on a one-week holiday twice a year, which he requires 24/7 care. Therefore, it is essential that the successful applicants will provide support with this.
A driver with a full clean driving licence and experience with Epilepsy is essential for this position.
The rate of pay is £14.30 per hour.
