A Support Worker is required to support a teenage girl who has an undiagnosed neurological disorder and associated learning difficulties for 10 hours per week, with a view to increasing to 25 hours to cover maternity leave of other support worker, but with continued employment thereafter with hours to be mutually agreed in Northallerton.
The hours are Monday to Friday and are fairly flexible, although they do require 1 hour mornings and 1 hour in the afternoons, the rest are to be used flexibly.
Someone who is willing to be consistent and is willing to learn about the young girl and her ways of communication.
The knowledge of mobility equipment, although training is available.
Personal Care with showering and dressing.
Someone to manage any risk on a daily basis, can offer positive stimulation, sensory experience and experience new things.
To enable her to mix with other children.
To have an enhanced DBS, a full clean driving licence.
Routine hours flexible Monday to Friday, by arrangement in advance, and routine hours flexible in school holidays and may include occasional weekend.
