A dedicated and committed Support Worker is required 20 hours per week to cover a variety of shifts to help support a young man with learning disabilities and seizures in Bedale. Extra hours are available, to cover all shifts Monday to Sunday including sleepovers.
There are various shift patterns to cover which are:
7 am till 10 pm and a sleepover, these shifts to be arranged at interview stage.
These are over 7 days a week and various shifts and rotas are available. the carer is also expected to cover other shifts when other staff are off sick or on holiday.
The pay is: £8.80 per hour 7 am to 10 pm Monday to Friday, £10.90 per hour 7 am to 10 pm Saturday and Sunday and £8.57 per hour Monday to Sunday for sleepovers from 10 pm to 7 am.
It is important that you hold a full clean driving licence and be over 25 (for insurance purposes), as the client has his own car (manual) and enjoys being taken to activities with his carers.
The support worker is to help and support in all aspects of the gentleman’s life, including personal care, supporting him to attend activities and will be expected to accompany the him on holiday along with his other carers. Full training will be given for the post on the receipt of satisfactory references and an enhanced DBS check.
Experience with learning difficulties and seizures is preferred.
