1 or 2 Support Workers are required to cover up to 50 hours per week to help a young man with Alstrom Syndrome (blindness, partial deafness and diabetes) in Scarborough.
The young man has a great sense of humour and loves “talking football” which is his passion, therefore someone with similar interests would be ideal.
The role includes helping him to live a healthy balanced lifestyle, which includes attending sporting activities such as: Going to the gym, walking, and interacting in the community. The young man also requires support to keep his house in order including domestic chores and meal preparation. He requires no help with his personal care.
A DBS, clean driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential for the role.
The Hours are 9.30 -10 am till 4.30 pm Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday & Friday and some hours are available on Saturdays.
The rate of pay is £8.57 per hour and a mileage allowance is also available.
