A Support Assistant is required for up to 30 daytime hours per week to support a disabled gentleman with Eplilepsy, who requires 24/7 care.
The gentleman lives in Bedale and needs support and assistance accessing the community activities such as: outdoor activities, concerts, theatre etc. Also, he goes on a one-week holiday twice a year which he requires 24/7 care provided by 2 carers, therefore it is essential that the successful applicant will be expected to support with this.
Duties also include: personal care/health needs, domestic assistance and encouraging him to take part in life in the community.
A driver with a full clean Driving Licence and experience with Epilepsy is essential for this position.
The 30 hours to be covered will include daytime and weekend shifts to provide the 24/7 care the gentleman requires.

The rate of pay is £13.00 per hour plus double time bank holidays (this is under revue and tbc at a later date).
