A Male Support Worker is required for 17 hours per week to support a young man with Alstrom Syndrome which has caused blindness and diabetes in Scarborough.
The hours are to be covered are on Tuesday, Thursday 5 hours each and Saturday 6 hours, with extra hours possible but these will be flexible.
The role includes helping the young man live a healthy lifestyle including preparing meals, checking blood sugars and help him exercise regularly. Our client lives in town, has a great sense of humour and enjoys a good laugh and social life. Activities include going to the gym, walking or going out to social events, sports groups and “talking football”.
A DBS, references, a clean Driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential for this position.
