A Male Support Worker is required to support an active 39 year old gentleman who has had a severe brain injury, with his independence in his home life and with his numerous activities.
There are 25-30 hours per week to be arranged at interview level, which are fairly flexible Monday to Friday but may require some weekend or evening hours depending on the activity/interest.
The gentleman suffers from short term memory loss due to his injury and requires support with planning his diary, laundry duties, and to accompany him to the Gym, bike rides, cinema etc.
There may be the occasional sleepovers to allow for respite.
The rate of pay is £11.54 per hour, there is a separate sleepover rate (tbc).
The Support Workers must have access to a vehicle due to the remote and rural location, and have a full, clean UK Driving Licence so they can drive the gentleman’s car to accompany him to activities/appointments.
A DBS is essential for this position.
