A Female Care/Support Assistant is required to provide help and support to a disabled young lady in the Scarborough area for up to 6 hours per week.
The hours are usually late afternoons or early evenings, although, the occasional morning hours may be required.
Duties include taking her to and from appointments, collecting prescriptions on her behalf, some personal care is also required.
Other duties will include; helping around the home (meal preparation, laundry, filling tablet organiser and prompting the taking of medication at the desired time when relevant).
The applicant would need to be flexible, honest, trustworthy, and respectful and have a confident, fun nature. In addition would need to have a young attitude, be flexible to their approach to work, have good time keeping and be willing to follow directions and listen to her needs.
Prior knowledge of M.E (Myalgic Encephalomyelitis) and CFS (Chronic Fatigue Syndrome) would be advantage.
Applicants would also need to have a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
Exception under the Equality Act (2010) – the post is only open to female due to the personal assistance required.
